IBM’s Trusteer Rapport banking security plug-in doesn’t currently seem to work with the latest version of Firefox. Fortunately there is a way to manually enable it:
Ensure you have the latest version of Trusteer product installed. You may need to visit your bank’s website to get this.
In Firefox click the menu button below the X (close) button.
Select Add-ons
In the Add-ons screen click on the gear wheel next to the search box
Select ‘Install Add-on from file’
Navigate to C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Extensions\{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}
NB USER_NAME will be your name or PC logon name
Select the file named rapportext@trusteer.com
NB This may be called rapportext@trusteer.com.xpi on systems set to display full filenames
Click ‘Open’
You should now see the Rapport icon to the right of the browser address bar. It will be grey on a regular website but turn green when you visit a supported banking site.
NB Check the icon is green before proceeding to use any protected websites.
